SSR Performance is back at the Nürburgring, testing its ‘Project Leo’ with significantly less camouflage as the season draws to a close. The biturbo is a bespoke, road-legal GT2 built in-house by SSR Performance based on a Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
The car has been extensively modified and specifically developed for use on racetracks during track days. Alongside a number of visual changes – including additional flaps, a bespoke suspension system, new wheels and numerous extra air intakes – the rear section in particular has been extensively reworked. The SSR Leo features additional air intakes in the rear side windows, as well as several extra openings in the rear bumper, to ensure the Biturbo is well cooled.
It remains to be seen when SSR Performance will attempt to set a lap record on the Nordschleife with its Leo project.
